Pumuckl comes to life – with interactive and immersive exhibition elements from WE ARE VIDEO

WE ARE VIDEO was commissioned by the KASiMiRmuseum Landshut to bring the goblin to life: nostalgia and modern media technology come together in the new Pumuckl exhibition.
Three interactive installations invite visitors of all ages to immerse themselves in the world of Pumuckl – playful, humorous and with a wink.

Immersive entrance room – Welcome to Pumuckl’s world

As soon as they enter the exhibition, visitors are immersed in the colourful, lively world of Pumuckl, with the little goblin jumping from roof to roof, albeit in Landshut rather than Munich. Projections, sound design and lighting effects create a multi-sensory experience that immediately transports visitors into Pumuckl’s chaotic yet charming world.
A space that arouses emotions – and the perfect stage for what follows.

Interactive workbench – mischief at the touch of a button

With the help of a buzzer, visitors can play pranks themselves: tap it once and suddenly objects fall off the workbench, accompanied by Pumuckl’s mischievous giggles. After the third attempt, even Master Eder chimes in with a typical ‘Kreuz Birnbaum und Hollerstauden’ curse – just like in the cult series.
This installation plays with the invisible presence of the goblin and makes young and old alike smile.

Be Pumuckl yourself – movement meets animation

In the third station, the goblin really comes to life:
Visitors can control Pumuckl on a screen using a motion-controlled installation – through their own gestures, facial expressions and body movements. A magical moment in which technology and imagination merge.

Technology meets childhood memories

Using state-of-the-art motion tracking technology and interactive interfaces, WE ARE VIDEO creates exhibition elements that not only tell stories, but bring them to life.

We were supported in this by Studio Lumatik (Cologne), who provided creative assistance with the 3D design of the exhibition elements.

The Pumuckl exhibition in Landshut is a prime example of how digital art and analogue nostalgia complement each other – in a playful, emotional and innovative way.
