Projection Mapping and immersive video design for Adel Tawil’s “Tu m’appelles” Music Video

Great music videos combine music with memorable visuals. For Adel Tawil‘s “Tu m’appelles”featuring Ina Reni Alexandrow, a german-bulgarian Singer-Songwriter also known as Peachy), WE ARE VIDEO developed a custom projection mapping concept that transformed a simple white studio into a series of immersive visual environments. Working alongside the production company 100 Black Dolphins, we created a flexible projection-based stage design that became an essential part of the video’s visual storytelling.

The production was built around a rectangular white room. Using three synchronized projectors, every wall was precisely mapped to create changing digital environments without the need for physical set construction. Ornate picture frames, baroque interiors, architectural elements and immersive visual landscapes appeared directly on the walls, seamlessly blending real space with digital content.

This combination of immersive video design, projection mapping, video scenography and carefully synchronized motion graphics allowed the visual atmosphere to evolve throughout the performance. Instead of relying on traditional scenery changes, the environment itself became dynamic, supporting the emotional narrative of the song while maintaining a clean and cinematic aesthetic.

Projection mapping offers filmmakers and artists enormous creative freedom. Digital environments can be transformed instantly, enabling multiple visual worlds within a single location while reducing production time and physical set requirements. This project demonstrates how immersive projection technology can become an active storytelling tool rather than simply a visual effect.

Since its release, the official music video has reached more than 16 million views on YouTube, showcasing how creative projection design, immersive video technology, and digital scenography can elevate contemporary music video production. For WE ARE VIDEO, the project remains an excellent example of combining technical precision with creative visual storytelling to produce striking cinematic experiences.
