Filmfest Munich, Germany’s largest summer film festival celebrates its 40th birthday!

The motif for the birthday edition of the 40th FILMFEST MÜNCHEN was designed by Munich-based design studio C100 Studio, based on the work of French photographer Jean-Vincent Simonet and his unique technique of manually editing and distorting photos.

WE ARE VIDEO has reinterpreted it for the anniversary and on the occasion of the opening ceremony at Gasteig HP8 with an interactive video art installation. The design can now be experienced in a whole new way.

The artwork, exhibited in Halle E of Gasteig HP8, invites visitors to dream, reflect and let go, and can be brought to life from the outside simply by walking past it or by close hand movements.

The installation can be seen from 23.06.2023 – 01.07.2023 in Gasteig HP8 Hall E.
