For the celebrations of the Day of German Unity, which took place in Erfurt this year, a mapping was projected onto the 432m2 facade of Anger1.

 

An absolute speciality of the mapping were the pictures from the GDR and Wende times; in the first part of the show real historical photographs were shown. Afterwards, there were images from the GDR era created by the use of imaging AI systems. Between the respective image sequences, 3-dimensional effects picked up on the architecture of Anger 1 and staged it to great effect. Finally, a generative patch of particles formed the red-yellow heart which was the key visual for the festivities.
