Enjott Schneider: Creation (world premiere)
ST. MATTHÄUS CHURCH / MUNICH
Creatio – Enjott Schneider’s musically story of creation in light and sound
Enjott Schneider’s new oratorio Creatio (which he wrote on the occasion of his upcoming 75th birthday) centres on the four elements of fire, water, earth and air – linked by the fifth element: love. The premiere took place in St Matthew’s Church in Munich and was staged by WE ARE VIDEO with an impressive lighting design.
Musical journey through space and time
The composition leads the audience through a unique world of sound. In addition to the choir and organ, unusual instrumentation is featured: Cello, percussion and saxophone quartet as well as solo soprano Julia Sophie Wagner. Actor Miroslav Nemec (Münchner Tatort) complements the experience with his distinctive voice.
Lighting design for an extraordinary performance
WE ARE VIDEO once again supported the work of Enjott Schneider. The creative studio created a lighting design for Beatitudines. Die Seligpreisungen – In zeitloser Wahrheit at the Frauenkirche in Munich back in November 2024. For Creatio, the musical story of creation was visually enhanced by atmospheric worlds of light. The combination of music, mythology and science made this work a special experience.
